How to participate in Erasmus+
The application process is managed by your home university. Here is everything you need to know to get started — from finding out the rules to submitting your documents.
The procedure for applying is individually determined by each university — and sometimes by each faculty separately. Your university organises the recruitment, pays the scholarships, and provides information on the practical side of the exchange. The information below is based on general Erasmus+ programme policies.
How to apply for Erasmus+ studies
You can only go on exchange from your home university. Recruitment is conducted either centrally by the university or individually by each faculty. Follow these steps:
Find the rules for your university or faculty for the given academic year. Information about the Erasmus+ programme and application rules are usually posted on the university and faculty websites.
You can only go to a partner university cooperating with your faculty. Lists are available on university web pages. Choosing a university outside the list is sometimes possible but requires significant extra work and planning well in advance.
Submit all required documents within the deadline set by your university or faculty. Some universities also include an interview as part of the selection process.
After being accepted for the exchange, follow all instructions provided by your university or faculty Erasmus+ coordinator carefully.
